MBRP installed!

Installed my MBRP exhaust today. Sealed all the fittings with muffler sealer. Man, can you hear that turbo whistle out the tailpipe now!
The only part of it I'm not liking is the pipe that goes over the axle, sits very close (like a 1/4 inch or less) to the rear shock.

I don't remember mine being that close but I will have to look at it. I agree you can hear the turbo real nice with this system no complaints about mine at all. Glad you got it installed okay.

Yea, mine wasn't nearly that close. You may need to adjust after some driving or else you'll hear a rub and it will drive you crazy. Also, be sure to retighten your clamps after 200 miles or so.

Mine is also very close to the shock. I have the rub marks to prove it!

Watch your spare too. Mine has small marks on it too.

IIRC, twisting the section over the axle helps to manipulate where the tail pipe exits... just have to play with it some.

I just installed mine at the teach day yesterday, so I'll have to watch it. It is a bit of a tight squeeze between the shock and the spare.

Yeah I was looking at that when I installed. Looks like it's gonna be ok there. I'll keep an eye on it though

I did twist it several times tryin to get the best fit, and where the tailpipe doesn't angle down too much. I'm happy with how it turned out as far as tailpipe location. I'll just have to keep an eye on the shock!
Thanks

Did you use the supplied clamps or order the muffler bands?

Supplied clamps. I also sealed each joint with a muffler sealer. Maybe I'll go with the Walker clamps at a later date. We'll see how these do for now

I too found I had to twist the rear pipe to clear the shock and I used a jack to hold the end of the pipe up as I tightened it. Also I shorted up the very rear hanger so it held the pipe out alittle more.

Me too... I ran a stock spare with 35's once and will never do it again. I have one of my old 35's in the bed for a spare so right now, room isn't an issue anymore.

I went with the supplied clamps too. But I have noticed that they smash the metal and make it oblong, makes them hard to take apart of needed. I wish I would have spent the extra and bought the bands. Oh well. Oh ya if you really want it to sound good take it for a drive down a road with buildings or under a bridge/tunnel, that turbo whistle sound AWESOME!!!!
