Stock 460 RPM's?
Just rebuilt the 4160 Holley and had the rebuilder install a quick change secondary spring setup. He installed a one-step lighter spring when the original spring was one-step stiffer than standard.
WOW! Clyde took off like a scalded dog when she hit ~3500 rpm and hit 57-5800 about that quick. It had never run like that before the rebuild. Really looking forward to seeing what it will do with my fifth wheel behind it.
What's a safe rpm limit for a bone-stock original 460 of the 1984 vintage now that I actually have to worry about it?
