My signal lights do not work properly. When you step on the brakes,
both signal lights appear on the dash.
The are also very touchy to find the center point. It is hard to keep them off. I have checked the fuses, and I replaced the flasher under the dash and to the right of the steering column. (Is there a 2nd flasher?) Also, the lights sometimes go on
"emergency mode" and keep blinking. I have been disconnecting my battery when I am not driving the pickup since the blinkers won't turn off.
Help. Thanks, Dan.
The not turning off and sensitive to being in the center sounds like a mechanical problem with the switch, they usually have detent cams and springs for the 3 positions. Dash lights coming on when you step on the brakes is a grounding problem at the rear bulbs. Scrape the outside of the sockets and the brass parts of the bulbs, and check that there is a good connection for the ground wire.
