Driver's cab corner repair

I've got the driver's cab corner stitched up.

Here's the last patch:

Fitting. This is about the most complicated patch I'm capable of making:

Burned in:

After much grinding:

Declared "good enough" and primed:

Again, this isn't a body filler truck.

Feel kinda silly posting this crap on the same site as Run4covr's truck and all the other great work you guys do. This is my "learn by doing" project.

Larry, looks great for a fellow novice! I've finally gotten half-way decent welding on the heavy stuff, like 1/8 or more, but the sheet metal has been a real challenge for me.
The first real sheet metal welding I attempted was on the floors of my '59 and then I covered it all over with polyurethane adhesive and layers of fiberglass window screen for sound deadening. ok, and to cover my welds too. Last Wednesday I cut out part of my lower front fender and welded in a triangular piece of steel. Took a lot of grinding and a big gob of bondo, to get it looking passable. Notice I didn't post any photos, and I totally get what you're saying about run4cover, axracer and let's not forget transam. Holy crap, those guys, and many others make a beautiful restoration look easy. Larry, keep up the good work. Like you, I never get tired of learning new things, and this group has provided a lot of inspiration for the process.

Work truck

Made the old girl work for her Texaco today. Callahan's General Store and back with ten bails of hay. I don't think this was her first time.
