Miles per gallon on your truck

I currently have a '96 RCSB F150 with the 4.9 and a 5sp. I was curious what y'all are getting for fuel mileage.

What engine/trans/rear end? Wifey and her mommy think all truck are 'gas hogs' and get 'terrible gas mileage'. never mind the fact that they have NEVER owned a full size truck.

I'm not sure of the rear end i have. but i dont care as long as the truck makes me money. I only paid $350 for the truck a few years ago,and it's paid for itself 10x over.

For stop and go city driving trucks are gas hogs, you won't see anything better than low teens regardless of powertrain combo while a 4cyl car will get 25+. My 5000lb ext cab 4x4 gets about 13mpg though it currently has "an issue", and that's with 5.0/AOD/3.55/30" tires.

i got a stock 351 with the e4od tranny and 3.55 gears and 31s, i get less than 10 because simply its terribly out of tune, but then again i cant drive it legally so its not a big issue haha, but wit the work i want to do to it and with a 5 speed i should get about 20

10-12 mostly because of the 31" tires,5.0 and craptacular 3,08 gears. Want to swap gears and upgrade the engine to a 5.8,but the truck isn't my daily driver,so it isn't high on my priority list right now.

My '89 2wd F150 300, C6 gets around 13-14 city/highway mix, and 16-18 full highway doing 55.

Has 2.73 gears and stock tires.

There is something amiss there. Have you checked your codes and done a good tune-up recently?

I had a bad fuel pressure regulator and it was dinging me like 2 MPG easily...
