Emissions testing is a waste of money and resources, the entire program should scrapped IMO.
What part of PA? I'm in SE, and thats what I had to do. Agree its a waste of time and money And I don't have a gas cap on mine

Resurrecting this old post because it was inspection time this month. Left it last Fri, garage called said "not ready for testing" comes up for emissions. No problem, I'd drive it a few days until it was ready to re-test. Long story short I stopped 3 days in a row after work, Wed-Fri and after almost 300 miles this time, it was ready ( last year it was only 2-3 days ???). Got stickers, paid and left. I Immediately reinstalled the 87 Perf/Tow tune from Mike when I got home. It was almost painful to drive my truck for a week without the tune in it. So I am once again happy happy happy

I don't know how many years its been now but PA tried the state run emissions testing BS. They acquired the property and built buildings and the citizens raised so much hell the state didn't go through with it. As far as I'm concerned this country is the cleanest and I'm tired of paying for the rest of the world. I get so pissed off every time I think about this emissions testing BS. I'd love to go bare knuckles on these politicians. CB

Great info Tim. Good points here for anyone who intends to or has tuned their truck and faces this type of a state inspection.

Thanks big Tim! This was from last year and I just added onto it from this years experience, since it took longer/more miles for the system to reset and pass. I missed being exempt by 800 miles.
