Is there any diference between a 91 e4od and a 95 e4od besides the upgrades.

That's a tough call. Typically, a junkyard will offer around a 30-day warranty, while a rebuilder generally offers at least a 1-year warranty. It comes down to is the price difference worth it?

I don't know of many differences through the years for the E4OD. I have 160k on my 94, and it is still running smooth.

According to ATSG, the 89-94 had a different design selenoid pack than the 95-up. The vehicle harness on a 89-94 will not connect to a new seleniod pack (95-up). They changed some dioide locations from the selenoid to the PCM. I have never tried to swap these year models, but according to the book you can't. Might want to do some extra checking though. Tranny shop?
