Question Econoline E-150 Chip Code Location ?

I have a 2001 E-150 Econoline with 4.6. I want to order a Diablo chip from Motorhaven, but am unsure of the proper computer ID.

I have tried calling the Motorhaven tech phone number 770-806-1955 today several times with no response.

There are numbers on the wiring harness on the drivers side firewall = YC25, 14305, E498Y.

The numbers are on the wiring harness on passenger side near battery = IC24, 12A51, E498Y

The numbers on wiring harness under kick panel in passenger footwell = YC25, 14014, N5P4D

There was sticker on the drivers side door frame near the hinges, but it was removed.

There is also a "Data Link Connector" port under the dash below the steering wheel. It does not appear to have any numbers.

Are any of these harness numbers correct for the computer code?

Or is it somewhre else?

Please advise.

Thanks.

We close at 5:00pm (Eastern Standard Time). If you called after 5:00pm then we weren't available. Also, because a lot of people will sometimes keep me on the phone for 10,20 or even 40 minutes with chip questions and the other 2 lines can easliy get busy then.

The code is always 3 letters followed by one number. The numbers you gave a part numbers, not PCM code numbers. The computer box sticks out of the firewall near power brake vacuum booster. The code is on the box where the wiring harness connects to it. Also, try looking on the door frames near the hinges for a white sticker (not the doors but the door frame).

Econoline E-150 Chip Code Location ?

Thanks Ken.
I called next day and received excellent instructions from Motorhaven tech support.

As Ken stated, I previously found wiring harness part numbers. My van also had a sticker in the driver door frame, but it was removed and only the adhesive remained.

The Econoline computer is to left of the brake booster (facing from front) on the firewall, and the code number is on a small sticker on the left side of the harness connection. This is behind the air cleaner intake hose. I had to use an inspection mirror and flashlight to read it while outside in bright sunlight!

Now I just have to decide which chip to purchase.

Thanks!

I recommend the Delta. For $15 more you get the option of switching to stock plus you can add another program at a later time. It gives you an upgrade path you don't have with a standard chip.
