Last night helped a guy changed a tire, mostly helping with my headlights. Then it was click, click and he asked if I could pull him a little to get him going. I said sure, I'll pull you and your horse trailer. It only took 30-40 feet and he was really to go. And no, I didn't have my camper on, LOL
No fart or scratch, haha! I've been saved a few times on the side of the road, its pay it forward time. Sometimes even my wife gets mad if I blow by. That would have made a pretty good picture, especiallly if I did have have the camper.
I don't mind paying it forward but I won't do it with the wife and kid in truck. To many nut cases out there and the ruger 357 mag. is alway with me. Never leave home with out it
I don't blame you Mike! I was camped 1/4 mile away and heard him banging around in his horse trailer and my dog was going nuts. I went by myself with my friend (not my dog) to see what was going on. He was quite the character, about 70 and he was hauling scrape in the horse trailer to supplement his SS check. I liked the old boy! My wife was pissed though, she repeated the four words I have heard all my like, "where have you been"! I'll take those four words to my grave, LOL
Was the scrap in the trailer or pulling it? LOL! That's pretty cool Glenn, you should have took a pic of that. I usually stop and help people most of the time, but some times it just don't feel right, ya know what I mean. But it was cool of you to go over there and help that old guy!
The last guy I stop and help was about 65-70 he was bringing his wife back from chemotherapy and had a flat he didn't have a jack so I change his tire and after I was done he tried to pay me a 100 bucks and was shocked that I wouldn't take it. He told me "no one does thing for free my son wouldn't come unless I paid for his gas"
I know Bill, sometimes you just get that gut feeling.
Mike, I got a flat once on my camper and four guys stopped to help. I told them I'm an expert at this and thanks but no thanks. They said where is the spare and I said its under the camper. They said you get it and when I came back they had the flat off. They distracted me, LOL. I tried to give them a beer or something and they refused. COOL!

That's a sorry excuse for a son! I helped a guy from Indiana on his way to D.C. with his wife and daughter. He was driving an OBS PSD pulling a 5th wheel camper and a wheel bearing on the camper went south and ruined the hub, brake drum and all. It was on a Saturday and no one had any in stock, we called every place in southern WV "have to order those" is all we got. I had four brand new ones on a 20' flat bed trailer I was building, just put them on the day before. I came home and took two of them off ( come in sets of two) and got the book I ordered them from and went back and put one on his camper and gave him the other one. I showed him the book and told him all I wanted was the cost of the hubs/drums so I could order two more. He tryed to give me all the money in his wallet LOL!! I only accepted the cost of the parts. Two State Troopers drove by while we were out there and neither of them stopped.
