Leaf Spring Issue.

Hello all, well after fixing my needle bearing and now that, that sound is gone, I have another sound....(it never stops...) I have been hearing a clunking, rattling, sound on and off and only when I hit a bump. I went through the entire truck with my buddy yesterday and everything was tight and we couldnt find any thing, ball joint tie rod, sway bar...nothing...the only thing we found was that both the front leaf springs are different, the Right sight pack measures 1 5/8"? and the left 1 3/4? I cant remember exactly, I have pics but im waiting for them to upload. my truck also leans to the right because of the smaller spring in the front. Would having two different springs be causing my noise?? or would it be something else that im missing? Thanks

Heres The pictures of the leaf springs...let me know what you guys think.

If it is leaning to one side you would think that there could be some binding going on.
You say a clunking noise.Did you check the end link bushings that attach to the sway bar.Thos e are known to clunk when they are worn.Good luck

Yes I checked all the bushings and no movement at all. That's why we were curious as to having two different leaf springs would cause the noise. I can also feel it with my foot on the floor if that makes any sense

Yep.Makes plenty sense because that is one of the main complaints when the endlink bushings are shot going to the sway bar.
I have heard folks talking about feeling the same thing when the cab bushings are getting worn as well but yours has low miles I think.

Well my truck does have over 230000 on it. And if you thing its the end links what is the best way to check them? Im gonna do some work on my truck tommarow so I will be able to check them then. Also I posted the pictures of my leaf springs in the first post.

you can get a free inspection with quote at les schwabs alighnment shop,if the inspector has some experiance he will find the problem for you, then you have the choice to make the repairs yourself. ask if they can show you the worn parts while its on the rack.

Easiest way to know for sure if it is the sway bar mounts or end links is to remove them and drive it. Takes less than 10 minutes to remove them. You will know after you hit the first bump.
