How Much Lift Do I Have?
Hi all,
My Excursion came with a lift installed by the previous owner. I've done a little homework on it and would like to know if anyone can tell me the likely amount of lift on this truck based on the lift equipment used.
The lift is a ProComp lift with ProComp spring packs SKU# 22210 on the front and a 1.5" aluminum block on the rear. Based on the tech PDF's available on the ProComp website that would make this probably a ProComp SKU# 52616/52626 lift for a 2000-2004 Excursion and the 22210 springs are the lower 4" spring option.
Based on what I was told by the local 4 Wheel Parts store, a 4" lift for a Super Duty will yield 6" on an Excursion. My point of confusion comes from another set of instructions for a ProComp kit for a Super Duty AND Excursion that lists the same front spring SKU's as the Excursion-only kit.
In the Excursion instructions, the 22210 is described as a 4" spring and a 22410 as a 6" spring. In the Super Duty+Excursion kit the 22210 spring is described as an Excursion-only spring and the 22410 as for either SD or X.
So is this a 4" lift on the Excursion or actually a 6" lift? Would the ProComp Excursion-only kit with the 6" spring actually yield 8" of lift?
Thanks for any help,
Chris

I have a 2000 Ex with 22210 on the front and 22415 on the back - I can tell you it is just under 4" higher than stock - well where I was anyway. For comparison my wells are exactly 42" from the ground - so measure yours and the difference is how much lift you would get with the Pro Comp springs. By the way this is with the rear block removed and a ford shim placed to set the pinion angle properly. If you leave the factory block in the rear you will be several inches higher in the rear.

Stock I was at 38 but I was probably sagging a bit, not sure what off the line stock is supposed to be, but I gained 4". On the shim no I didn't - the place who remanned by drive shafts talked me out of it and it was a good call, had issues getting the pinion angle right even with the ford shim the pro comp would have been harder. But I put on new axle housings front and rear at the same time along with sway bars front/back, new shocks. So the pinion might have been a bigger issue for me. The Ford shim is maybe a 1/4 thick.

No mine 6.8 Gas and I am at 42 front and rear, but the spring code in your OP was different than mine for the rear mine was 222415 not sure what the difference is between the two. If they are close then since you have slightly bigger tires I think you would be closer to 43". Mine also had F250SD axles on it, not sure if there is anything height different with that setup.
