since i have been sick for the past 2 days all ive done is look up things i can to to my truck and make it better. ive been reading into the intercoolers and it seems pretty straight forward but i also came across the water/ meth injection. this is really interesting me because it is different haha but does anyone know anything about them like experience with them or pros and cons of each? thanks

glenn has water inject and ic ,,, egt is a constant fight the more poneys you add the egt go up..... iam doing an ic and water inject on myn, not sure its true but id not to a water meth, meth is a gas and well i have heard its not a good idea but that is me... like i say id do water and ic
I have a coolingmist water/meth injection but only use water. It helps keep things cool. I fugure the IC helped 150* and the water injection helped another 100*. As Jason said, the more hp, the more you fight to keep EGT's down.

There can be an exception to this rule I'm thinking.... More turbos.

Glenn do you use just distilled water? Im guessing tap water or water from a hose wouldnt be a good idea.
Glenn drinks lots of coffee and fills the reservoir up at every potty stop. I put in an IC a few years ago and thus far I've haven't come close enough to the 1250 mark to warrant h20 injection. So far....
Interesting. I guess I had better try to avoid getting it on my skin during washer fluid fillups. I guess everything is bad for you these days. Hell they've got warnings on oil containers for skin contact but that doesn't stop me lol.
Travis, ya, more turbo, bigger turbo, more fuel, more, more, more!!!!!!!! PMS
Rich, you said in your boost thread your's at 14K. I guess the difference is I don't drive slow! LOL
Blake, distilled water would be best but i'm not going to keep buying more and more, lol. At first I just dumped water in but my nozzle kept getting clogged up. Now I use water out of my camper that I have two filters on my hose. A pre filter and a carbon filter. I can go a long time now before cleaning the nozzle now.
Your right Dave, one big mug of coffee in the morning but then I stop. I was going thru a ton of water so I switched to the next size down nozzle and its reasonalble now and I don't see much difference in EGT's. Get a real chip and see if you can get over 1250*, LOL.
Ya got me Glenn! A real chip is most definitely on my wish list. You've got cooling mist, but how does snow performance stack up? It's another upgrade I'd really like. someday.
