vibrates on slowing down - no brakes just let off gas - until speed drops down to fairly low. an auto trans. seems to be front end source, the driveshaft and u-joints appear good. I jacked up front and checked tie rods and wheel bearing shake - nothing there? any ideas?
have'nt found a long enuff downhill grade to try it in nuetral selector position at over around 25 mph yet. could shock absorber do this? they appear good. tires have some miles on them but wheels have the weights on them?
I jacked up the rear axle to check u-joints and differential, all seems snug but of course can't tell if driveshaft is OOB - would'nt that cause it at all speed? and when holding steady and accelerating?
I need to find a long downhill run and toss it into nuetral at about 45 or so to check if this occurs when coasting at speed.
maybe it's normal?? I had a strong flashlight and looked top engine mounts today. the part that bolts into the block appears firmly attached.
I have'nt took a close look at the tranny mounts yet. need to go over the long downhill in nuetral at speed to check in detail
Check your catalyst heat shields. They are just tack welded to the cat body. Crawl under and tap gently on all of them to see if any are loose. If so, a big hose clamp will hold them in place for many more years.

I'm just trying to help here.
If everything is secure and tight, then you must not have any issues. It is normal for a motor to vibrate. I do not know the intensity of your vibrations, but when I let go of the gas, I can feel some vibrations.
it's at speed above 35 and more noticeable at 45+ let off the gas to decelerate when it's really noticeable.
I have'nt been far from town last few days so have'nt done the coast downhill at speed in nuetral test.
thanks for all replys

not that I can detect as I checked the fan over fairly close due to possible overheating which turned out to be a faulty temp gauge.
I have'nt driven this one much over 100 ms yet.
that's what I'm going to do next for a test. I have'nt been on a long enough downhill grade to try that, or a long enuff straightaway to try.
I'm suspecting this would reveal the trouble. the front wheels have the weights on them and tires are'nt bad so I'm 'sort of' doubtful that balance is the problem 'specially since no vibration below 35mph
Ok, when you do this, make note of & post if you feel vibration strongest in the steering wheel, or the seat & if it stays or stops after you shift into "N" & if you can note which side its on.
