Bed panel gas door
I'm converting a '95 shortbed to an '80 shortbed by shortening new '80-'86 longbed panels. I had incorrectly assumed that that the gas door and pocket were interchangeable (they're not easily). Since my old bed is long gone for reference can anyone tell me if the '80-'86 door/pocket bolts in place? My new panels have a bunch of holes that look as if they would accept a pocket and door assembly. I'm hoping one can be easily removed at the JY if I'm lucky.

Thanks for the information 81ChopTop. Good to hear the pockets are bolted in. I was thinking I might have to find a way to cut out the section with the door in it while at the JY. The door pockets on the '95 bed are spot welded to the bedsides.
