1980 F150 steering question please help

My rag joint ripped and came apart, and I been trying to get it back together and I think I finally got it, I attached a picture and was wondering if someone can tell me if I did it the rite way or the wrong way, thanks for your help.

not sure if it's just the picture or not but it looks to be significantly off center between the 2 shafts.

When you turn the wheel...does it seem to turn straight or does it "wobble"?

It's hard to see for certain in the picture, but the lockwasher on the RH side (of the pic) doesn't look to be seated squarely beneath the nut?

I have not drove it yet, I was told there is a metal piece that came stuck with it but it must of broke some guy said you really don't need it.

Hard to say with the picture what all you have in there. Short of buying a whole new peice...if you have the 2 connected then it may just work.

Although it does seem to be off centerline.

It's a matter of how long it will last. My concern would be if it fails again while heading down the highway.

I bought a new rag joint, that's it. I didn't know it can be off center I just thought you slipped it on and tightened it down.

Ok...didn't realize you had replaced it. Thought your were just trying to repair it.

Maybe it's just the picture...the 2 halves seem to be lined up but seems to be off center from the steering gear.

anyway you can get some better pictures?

Thanks. Wait are your bolts pointing upward instead of downward?
