Rancho and Bilstein make front strut replacements that lift it upwards of 3-4 inches. I haven't personally driven one of them to compare, but the AS 2" kit (or any other leveling kit) does not affect ride quality because the stock springs and struts are used. I haven't had, or heard of any component failures on the leveling kits either. Just don't get the fancy aluminum ones, I've heard they gouge really easily, which can cause play between parts.

I think he's talking about the front crossmember about where the front door is. That crossmember always seems to hit everything when crawling over stuff. I flattened the one on my 09 over 3 years.

that's a sweet looking truck. Does that truck have the FX appearance package, or did you just paint the wheel flares and the wheels? Also, do you have any rubbing issues or noticeable power loss running those tires.

forgot to add, do those tires stick out past the fender at all?

Yes. I'm talking about the cross member under the drivers door about where your feet would land. Will a LK raise this? Or do I need to go another route. The whole truck seems to ride low is that characteristic of the xlt?

A level kit would raise this a little with the help of bigger tires. I was able to clear things with the level kit and tires that the crossmember would hit when it was stock. Im guessing it raised mine about 3 inches with the 2" level kit and 35" tires.

Thanks
No, I don't have the Appearance Pkg, mine is a 2011.. I bought some (new take offs) painted Lariat flares. I do have the Appearance Pkg. F150 emblems that I popped the red inserts out of, sanded them smooth and painted the inserts greyish/silver.
It slightly rubs the UCA when turned all the way to full lock. This only time I turn to full lock is when turning around in a tight spot.
The front tires stick out about .5" and the rears are flush with the flares.
The power loss is minimal with the EB. I can do a one wheel peel with my 34's.
