i am gonna send my injectors to rosewood this summer to get them rebuilt. i am debating between stage 1 and 2. i have to tow sometimes but its just a boat or a bobcat. i was wondering about pros and cons of each and what other upgrades i would have to do to support it. thanks
I would recommend Stage 1's if it is for normal (and moderate performance) driving and towing. I get the feeling that those who go to Stage 2's and above do it to get wild or have to tow a bulldozer to work everyday. Also, if you have an auto tranny, it already doesn't like you, it will like you even less with Stage 1's and a programmer. Pretty sure it will hate you with Stage 2's if you add the needed supporting mods. Unless you're planning for supporting mods and you set aside $4k for it. Then it will love you for a long time.
I thought I might add that I just did Stage 1's, 6637, and have a 3" DP in the garage waiting to be installed. Stage 1's are gonna suit me just fine. I use my truck to tow a 6500lb travel trailer and run around at the local sand dunes. I don't want to spend much more than I have at this point, (though I am going to get a pyro guage at very least) and feel it was a great decision.
I know that I have all the truck I need. It will take me back and forth to work, tow my camper, and spin 'em up when I am offroad. He11, it will even blow a little smoke when I use my programmer on any setting. Hope this helps.
