Electric brakes

Hello one and all.
Possible newbie question.
I flipped through the pages as well as doing a search before giving up and asking so not to waste to much of your time.
I have a 01 EB that came with a 4-pin connection. This worked well with my old trailer but I have a new 16' that takes the 7-pin. For a few weeks I have had a jumper that I got from Walmart to get me the lights/signals but I finally have the time to do it right.

I bought a Prodigy controller for the brakes.
Accorrding to the papers, I can wire this thing up or get an adapter that will plug right into the truck under the dash and then all I will need to do is unplug the 4-pin and plug in the 7-pin and off I will go.
So where under the dash? To my right there is a horizontal plug in that looks like the same wires as under the truck at the tail but I thought that this plug was for diagnostic stuff.
Any thoughts?
The last thing that I want to do is go back to this place asking alot of questions about something that may be rigth in front of me the whole time.

THANKS.

bob.

I did a bit more searching the site and found what I was looking for. Must have been lazy not have seen it.
Cool site.

I found the plug. All this time I thought that it went to something else. Tonight I will see what else will come up to ask for more help.

Not to long ago I had a brake module installed in my Expy. If your Expy isn't wired for the 7 pin then you'll need to rewire(Add the extra wires. Don't really remember, but seems to me you'll need 2 power and one ground?

PS. I tow a 4000 Coleman Camper and hardly ever use the brakes on the trailer. Expy handles her really well.

I am happy to report that the 2001 EB version apparently has everything on it.
The machine came with a 4-pin plugged in the rear which was replaced in 5 minutes with the 7-pin that I bought from Ford.
The controller took all of 5 minutes to install by plugging it in under the dash. 15 minutes if you include reading and tool gathering.
To think that the local RV place wanted to charge me 3 hours for this!
I am very pleased with the Prodigy and how it handled the 16' behind me. There is some slight adjustment for in town driving.
Fuel mileage blows. I think that I am in need of a wing or nose cone! Can you say 6.3-8.1mpg?
