Fuel filter preference?

Looking for a good fuel filter, so which one? When I bought the truck about a year ago the owner told me it was recently changed. But hey, who knows right?

I have always used racor filters. They are the OEM supplier.

Check to see if the P.O. installed one with the integrated lid. If it has that you'll need to buy a lid to use with OE racor if you decide to go that route.

I too like the Baldwin. It is integrated with the lid and comes ready to just put on. It also has a 1/2" drive in the middle of the lid so you can use a 1/2" drive ratchet to remove it. Very easy to change, just don't over tighten it with the 1/2" drive.

I have always used OEM/Racor filters. I will have to check out Baldwin. I like the 1/2" square drive idea better than using a strap wrench or piece of wood and a hammer to get the lid on/off.

I've run two baldwins with no leaks and the 1/2" drive hole is nice. Switched to racor and bought a cap from dieselorings which has a 1" nut molded into the top. Baldwins are good but having a separate cap is just my preference.
