Leveling kit installed. Before and After Pics

Sorry for the crappy second photo. I started around 9 in the morning and finished around 3:30. The sun was right in my face and I was using an Iphone. I will snap some better pics of it after it quits raining.

The lift rides great, it was an easy install. Having someone help you put it on is pretty much a must. Unless you have some really creative jack abilities.

Front I went with ProComp replacement leaf springs, Zone Offroad adjustable track bar, Bilstein 5100 shocks. Rear I went with the ready lift 4 inch blocks and Bilstein 5100s.

Sitting on 285/75/16 BFGs on stock 16x7 Ford wheels.

Thanks! I really like how it came out. It looks more like a truck now. I am looking for a new steering stabilizer and a Hellwig Rear Sway bar for it.

I noticed my front sway bar is in need of new bushings. When I get the other parts ordered I am going to go ahead and do those as well.

ProComp part number 52210/52210MX is what I went with. I called 4wheelparts.com and told them what I was trying to accomplish.

I already had the bilsteins ordered so I did not get the shocks that come with the kit.

The kit comes with these odd looking bolts

I am pretty sure they are supposed to help you install your OEM track bar and off set the hole so it will fit.

That looked way to difficult so I decided to order an adjustable track bar from Zone Offroad. It was the best money I spent on the lift. Very easy to re install the track bar. You just adjust it out to where it lines up with the holes and put your bolt in. Amazon has them for $99.00. It was $107.00 delivered to my door and it shipped really quick.

Edited to show more pics.

Factory leaf spring

ProComp leaf spring

The front kit cost me right at 345.00 dollars without shocks, from 4wheelparts.com.

truck looks great! i installed the 22210 pro comp front springs a year ago, they ride awesome and have held their height on my 5.4. The 22210 springs are suppose to be for the V10 and diesel only but they ride so good on the 5.4

Yeah thanks for mentioning that. I too have 5.4, and I think on the 5.4 you gain a little more lift than you do if you have a diesel or V10 just because of the weights of the motors.

I have looked at your truck probably 20 times. I loved the look of yours and that was the exact height I was hoping to get when I put mine on.

Mine sits a little nose high right now, but on a diesel or V10 it would probably be perfect with the 350 blocks on the rear.

If mine does not settle, I might order the 5 inch rear blocks for the rear from ready lift down the road. For now though, I am a happy camper.

thanks, after i installed mine it was about 1/2" higher. it settled just a little over the past year and ive been flexing it out alot taking my kids for rides on the river bank so i know its at its lowest point of settling. I actually would hate these springs if i had a 7.3 diesel they would settle too much i think, id have to add a extra spring to the pro comps to get the height back

one thing, we didn't get any snow this year in NJ but the factory paint fell off bad, i wire brushed the springs, primed with etching primer and painted them last week and they look better than brand new now. I believe its because pro comp didn't prime the springs from the factory or they had oil residue on them from shaping them in assembly

That is good to know. If they start looking really bad I will pull them off and Powder coat them. That is what I do for a living, but wire brushing, some primer, and some rattle can would probably be much easier to do.

I was thinking about painting the shocks, the yellow has not completely grown on me yet. I might paint them red to match the FX4 badges on my truck.

Do not go with the readylift 5" blocks, they are tapered and will not give you the correct pinion angle with your shortbox crewcab. You will get driveshaft vibrations that will not go away even with carrier bearing shims. Go with a flat block from Newton Lifts or other. Ask me how I know, I have a brand new installed-once set of Readylift 5" blocks on the shelf in my garage.
