Clicking Sound

I just replaced the rotors and replaced the bearing on the front of my '93 F140 4x4 and now as i drive down the road i get a clicking sound that goes away when i apply the brakes. It sounds like it is comming from the drivers side, (can be heard well when driving in a parking garage or near a wall) One of my friends told me it could be the u-joints as they are as old as the truck. what could have made them start clicking now, if they are even the problem..

its the brake pads. if it persists after a week or so, take the pads off and put a small bead of silicone or squeal stop on the caliper piston side

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Oct-02 AT 00:32 AM (EST)]You may need some anti rattle clips, on the inner pad.
Also to the outer pad, the tabs have to be bent so the pad cannot move in the caliper at all.
Also make sure your slides are working properly.
