hi guys i have a 1986 ford f350 4x4 with a 460 engine and it wont start
it turns over good, it has spark, compression was 120 all the way around
and there is fuel at the carburetor when you move the linkage any help greatly appreciated thank you
How long has it been sitting not running? Original carb?
Does it have electric or mechanical fuel pumps? If electric, are they running?
Spark plug wires in the correct order?
Does it even try to start or just crank over?
....That's why I said if the plugs were dry the ignition could be out of time.
Obviously he has enough of an accelerator pump shot that the engine should pop, even if the jets are so clogged and it won't run.
If the plugs are clean try it on ether.
If that doesn't work there's definitely an ignition issue.
