Jets changed, not cannot get float level to stay the same....
As many of you have seen my last post about the summit carb, yes it works great, but obviously it still could use tunning. It bogs a little when I open the secondaries at slow speeds, and when I WOT to 4k and shift to the next gear and go to WOT again, it I guess bogs, where it stumbles a little until I let off the gas and let it catch up then I can open all four again.
I'm thinking a heavier vacuum secondary spring?
Anyways here's two spark plugs I took pictures of, they all look the same.

Any info I can get would be great, like changes the jets and what not!
Bogging when giving it gas indicates that you need a bigger squirt of gas from the accelerator pump. (IIRC, someone said this is a Holley copy. If so This can be fixed by getting a bigger accelerator pump cam or getting a bigger nozzle. With the plugs being that lean, I'd say move up to at least 69's primary.
You need to do a proper plug chop, though. This is done by getting up to cruising speed and, without letting your foot off the gas, cutting the engine off. Coast to a stop and pull the plugs. This isolates the primaries and tells you how they're running.
Oh, and make sure you've driven around for a little while before you do the plug chop. An 8-10 mile drive is enough. Also, keep in mind that you're looking at the color of the ceramic, not the electrode.
As always, there's yet another problem. I installed a set of 69 jets, and now when the engine is running, I CANNOT get the float level to stay the same. If I turn the crew an 1/8th turn clockwise, the bowl runs dry, turn it 1/8th turn counterclockwise, the bowl floods. You can literally watch the gas just rise or fall doing either of the two turns and not stop until flooding or running dry. WTF. I installed jets two sizes bigger and now this BS?
I figured it wasn't, but this has not done this till after I took the top of the carb off, put the jets in, and put the top back on. I had no issues with setting the float until I did this.
