Worth it?

I already have a 2000 v10 but I've really been wanting a 7.3. Problem is I don't want to spend alot since I really don't need it anyway.

I found a 2000 7.3 4x4 for $3500 it has minor body damage (couple scratches from the PO not pulling out straight out of her garage).

My only problem is that is has 213k miles on it, and at that price I suspect their "perfect mechanical condition" to be perhaps a little exaggerated.

Pay $100 bucks and have them hook it up to their computer. If nothing else it can give you an idea.

The people selling it don't exactly live in the city, I would bring my personal code reader but they're about 1 hour from actual civilization.

I laughed out loud. Maybe they could meet you at a half way point?

I bet a 2000 7.3 X for $3,500 is easily worth it in parts and scrap alone unless it is rusted out in which case it is probably not worth a penny. My 2cents worth anyway.

Bring someone with you and go look at it and make sure he's handy with a firearm! I would hate for you guys to end up being dinner!
