75 Highboy w/carb Question

Ok Guys, The truck is getting closer to be completed. 75 F250 4x4. Found a good running 390 w/ 2 bbl carb. Got everything in the truck and bolted up. Except for the Exhaust Manifolds. Decided to go with the Hedders I found on Ebay for $50. Now I notice that there is a tube from the Right side Manifold to the Carb. And if I use the Hedders. I have no place for this connection. Please enlighten me as to the purpose of this device and how to correct a possible problem.

the choke. It supplies hot air to open it ups as it is thermostatic controled. If you use the headers you can take a piece of brake line and wrap it around the headers or weld in a fitting to attach it to the line. I have used the brake line before, it works but does stick out.

You used to be able to buy "clamp-on" choke stoves for headers and bad manifolds. You can make them easily tho. Or convert to an electric or manual choke.
