Early on there were damages from rigging for shipment. Power steering hoses, brake lines, pinched wires and fuel lines.

There was some thread activity back in August-December of 2010 here in the 6.7 area regarding this.

I hope it's simple like that. Really glad to see you round here Sam. Congrats on the '55! Ever get tired of having a perfect antique? Hope not!

Nice!!
Is that a glass windshield?

Can't tell from the pics, but is there some hood pancake too? Beautiful either way.

Also working on a 56, ls1 powered. Big window

Read the post again I edited It. Not my truck. Just wishing. It's my neighbor! He doesn't want his info out there! He told me to tell people it was mine. He had the top cut and it is Glass. It has an LS1 and a diamond plate bed. He is going with black rims. I thought it would look good with chrome.

Well he should come over to te 48-56 forum. I have some polished foose rims for the red truck, soon as I get the brakes bled and the new gas tank installed I can get it down from the jack stands its been on for a year. New front suspension, cab floor repair and the ls1 add

Sorry about the failure Sam....probably ruined the great FE you were achieving!

How was the tow otherwise? Any comparison thoughts?

Truck is home! Turned out that the fuel line to fuel cooler disconnected. Appears to be an assembly failure.

Compared to the dually longbed, the 250 is a lot more bouncy. Towing was very similar, but the new truck can really accelerate!

Awesome.

So for those smarter than I am...that much fuel gets returned to the tank?
I had no idea.
The black line is from the engine to the fuel cooler and the gray line is from fuel cooler to the DFCM.

No, the line to the fuel cooler came undone somehow.

Yeh the tow truck was amazing! The hitch was adjustable up & down, and in and out!

Sam

So...did they simply re-connect the connector? Or did they have to replace parts?

Glad you are back on the road!
