cold air intake

im looking to get a cold air intake. which one would be the best to buy and what ones should i stay away from. thanks

I would save my $ if I were you. They don't do any good relative to performance. The stock system works really well in the rpm range these trucks are designed to work in. If you still insist on getting a CAI I would recommend Volant with the dry element.

Unless you plan to get a tuner and do some exhaust work the CAI isn't worth it like Greg said.

I was looking at a cai for my truck as well i have a sct and cat back duels just bought two weeks ago. Whats the best things to do to this tryck to get the most out of it?

The programmer is the best bang for the buck to get the most out of your truck. If you really want to up the ante, then it'll cost a lot to have a supercharger installed. That would be the next step to get the most out of the truck. Long tubes and true dual cost about $2000 and require a custom tune. Supercharger install will be in the $4000 and up range.

Save your money like others have mentioned. CAI's can only hurt MPG, but they can make a nice sound. That's the only pro I have for it though.
