Searched to no avail.
On a recent trip, I was checking the engine oil, Tranny etc, and found my coolant low.
I put in 1/2 gal, and watched as the level kept dropping. Added another 1/2 gal and it filled the tank to the proper level.
Now I will admit that I had not checked in a while, but there are no visible leaks anywhere. No visible signs in the engine, or transmission oils.
I drove about 6 to 7 hundred miles since then, with about 550 miles pulling my fifth wheel, with no visible signs of loss anywhere.
Any ideas would certainly be appreciated.
I have seen a small cracks in the degas bottle that lets fluid out when the motor is running and because the motor is hot you never see liquid just a white residue if your running gold fluid. Over time it adds up quickly.
I had a pesky small leak at the bottom hose clamp where is joins the water pump. It took a while to find it. First I thought it was the pump but some cleaning and a new clamp solved the problem. That was many miles ago ! Look for residue or staining, that'll be the best way to find it. Good luck !
Thanks everyone, but I think I found it. Top heater hose had a drip hanging this A.M. Cut some off and I am back in business.
I will be sure and keep a better check on it.
Many thanks to all who responded. As always you are the best. Jim
