kinda ot but a store 20 miles away got burned to a crisp by those copper thieves. No bodies (thieves) found but I hope their acne *** face got scarred even worse. No room for thieves in Hanklins book.
A week or so ago I was en-route to pick up a car.
I came to a rail road crossing that had just been overhauled with new asphalt and ballast stone.
The railroad is upgrading the tracks in order to be able to increase the speed of the trains.
There were three people struggling to load a large basket of ballast stone into an Explorer.
They already had three baskets in the vehicle.
I stopped and got out and told them that they were very close to going to jail for stealing rocks.
I made them unload the Explorer and get the hell out of there.
The presence of my pistol on my belt kept them from arguing with me.
I called the incident in to the sheriffs office and gave them the tag info.
Sorry to hear that Rick. I hope you had an in depth conversation with the patrol officer that showed up (and I hope he gave a poop). Usually the responding officer is the best one to give you advice on how else they might break in after you beef up whatever entry they got in this time.
He works the neighborhood. He's seen all the different break ins. Ask him about what he's seen and what he knows or suggests that might fix it. If he offers to send someone else out to help you with these suggestions, keep trying to pump him for info. You want to talk to a beat cop who's seen it, not some desk jockey.
I had a subwoofer stolen from my Excursion last year from the barn door. Took the panel and all. Parked right beside my bedroom window. Cops took prints no luck said it was prolly a crack head. I keep that window slightly open now lol.

Good luck.
The guys are very concerned , but can only do so much.. THey did ask questions that led me to believe they were going to try to help ...THe problem is , a couple grand is petty crime today ...
So sorry Rick. Can you file an insurance claim? Being stolen from makes one feel vulnerable at best.
It sure does! We were robbed from several years ago. Know who done it too, just couldn't prove it. Neighbor boys needed drug money. To this day, I still watch every car that comes back my road. We are the 2nd last house on a dead end road. Everyone has to turn around at my garage, and I watch all of them. Didn't used to be that way.
