Suspension modification questions

So after putting in the new Rancho's in my 93 f150 I appear to be bottoming out ...according to every document I can find they are the right model for my truck. The fronts are worse then the back and the coils appear to be fine. I'm not ready for the expensive lift kit and I'm wondering if anybody knows any good home remedies (hockey pucks aren't an option, we use them to play hockey up here in minnesota).

Would coils from a 3/4 ton work on a 1/2, can it even be done. Do the cheap spacers you can buy actually work? I'm thinking the most I need to go up is 2 inches in the front (i'm assuming any higher would put to much pressure on the knuckle, radius arm...etc) and as far as the back I'm thinking just use small blocks and an extra leaf kit.

I fix PC's for a living so any advice is appriecieted (and no I'm not tossin the Rancho's...I worked to hard talking the wife into why I needed them)

The heavier duty F-250s and F-350s use front leaf springs, not coils. My recommendation is Skyjacker's 1.5"-2" leveling front coils. 130-140 bucks plus and alignment. You can get some lift blocks for the rear, but with those coils it will make you're truck sit level. If you have a 4x4, you already have 2" lift blocks in the back, so you'd need 4". Add-a-leaf isn't a great idea because it will stiffen your ride.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

Thats it for now, saving for a stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

I'm kinda confused tho.... you're talking about wanting lift, but shocks....?? So you think the truck sits lower with the Ranchos? This isn't possible. Or you just think it's bottoming out while driving? This could be possible if the shocks are too soft. If so it means your shock isn't providing the damping you need, you can install new taller coils but the shocks still aren't gonna provide the damping you need, and probably be even less effective as they won't be able to fight fresh coils if they don't work on your old coils. U might bottom out less with the new coils but it could be a bouncy ride on rebound.

Look at the shock and see where it sits, is it close to completely closed? I bet the shocks are too long. Ranchos are never to soft that soft.

Thanks for the advice....never owned a 250 so I assumed it was a bigger coil.....as for the shock it appears to be sitting low in the operating range. I think 1.5 to 2 inches lift in the front would fit perfect.

F250 4wd's use leafs, but, the 2wd's use coils, which you could indeed swap in.
