That is so incredibly BADA55. I love it! I really like rat rods for some reason, and to see one so artfully done with a PSD power plant is truly incredible. I am SO glad he didn't just take the default route and put a SBC in that truck.
I love these classic cars but there is something about a rat rod that's catch's your eye.
I love the rat rods because there is so much ingenuity and creativity that goes into them. So many little details. You have to stare at them a long long time and even then, you still see something you didn't notice before. I love the creative use of materials on them. Just a cool cool way to go.

And you don't have to be extremely meticulous with details for it to look cool! You want it to look kinda patched together in a sense. I love rat rods!!!
So somebody tell me. Who made that video? That "before" F-5 at the 1:20 is NOT that truck. As a matter of fact, that is my truck, and I am the one who took the picture. And I assure everybody that it didn't get converted into that rat rod.

Hahaha, That is amusing.
I think they just went and grabbed a random Web Image of what it was originally.
It looks to me like the video was put together by the show "Drive" on youtube. I;m not sure whether it is on TV or just an online thing. The truck at 1:22 is obviously not the same truck as was used to make the rat rod since the video states that the graphics on the passenger side door were original to the truck and the one at 1:22 is a John Deere truck. My guess is that whoever edits the show just inserted that picture so the viewer could see what a stock F5 looks like.
Actually I think it's pretty cool that your truck was used in the video! I guess ideally they could have asked before they used your picture, but (I'm no lawyer) I don't think they're obligated to do so unless you have a copyright on the pictures. You have posted those pictures to the web and I can pull them up just as easily. Once they're online I don't think you can reserve rights to the pictures unless you have a copyright on them.
All in all, it is still a really cool truck (yours) though. Wish I had one!
Yeah. You're right. I guess it's pretty much public domain when it gets posted to the internet. But, DANG, I wish somebody had a camera on me when I was sitting here pretty much half-asleep watching that video and BAM, there's my truck!!! Talk about an eye opener.
Thanks for the compliment on my truck. Here's another picture around Christmas time. As you can tell, it's pretty much yard art at this point. I traded a steer cow for it, I kid you not!

Another thing I like about a rat rod is that you can finish it up and drive it. I've done a few near perfect cars just to take them out and a gravel truck or something throws rocks on it. Its enough to make a grown man cry!
