Driveshaft Getting Shorter...
I swapped transmissions in my '69 F-100. The truck has a two piece driveshaft and I need to shorten it. I need to measure everything first. Could someone please tell me how far the slip yoke should be in the transmission with the two piece driveshaft installed?

Most times, the slip yoke should be bottomed out, then pulled back out 1" to allow for travel room. It won't matter much since it won't be moving on your set up, but that's the common way to set them up.
