Coolant Sensor Help!
I have a 02 3.0 Ford Ranger. The coolant sensor housing (not sure what the correct name for it is) has a hole in it. I need help because I can't find the part anywhere (not even the Ford place). I need a part number, correct name, or something so I can fix it. Thanks in advance!

Most coolant temp sensors were mounted into the intake manifold or to the thermostat housing. If you cannot get one at the dealer, you can try a 'recycling' center, AKA junkyard or boneyard. You may even find one at a 'pick a part' location where you remove only the exact part you need and pay according to fixed prices.

If you are talking about the metal elbow that one of the sensors mount in it is available from ford. You may have to look at the parts sheet with the coutner person but I have purchased them before at our local dealer.

You might try entering your vehicles VIN # into the Motorcraft online website cooling system parts tree here.
