I did some searching and found a few threads with this problem but no one ever posted what they did to fix it.
Getting an internittant wait to start light. Truck has power as the dash has all the normal lights. But, I dont hear my vacuum pump running and the truck wont fire off until I cycle the key on and off several times until finally the WTS light comes on. Truck then starts normal.
Seems like the PCM is not powering up. Is that the ignition switch, PCM relay or the PCM itself?
After checking all (Including battery) connections to be sure they are tight and clean, I'd swap the PCM relay. They don't cost much and if that's not it you'll have a spare to rattle around in the glove box with your other spare stuff like I do ! Good luck and keep us posted.
i had a similar issue and what was replaced was the fuse block under the dash. some of the connections were worn out and the fuse weren't making good contact from time to time.

Good point Shawn. When troubleshooting a circuit all fuses in the circuit should be removed, checked and tightly reseated.
Well, since it's an intermittent problem, you may need to monitor things for a while before you can draw any conclusions. If the blower starts working intermittently, then you know it was most likely the relay. If the WTS problem reappears, then you have at least probably isolated the relay as a probable cause (since it would be unlikely for both relays to start to die at the same time).
Swapped relays and it works. Blower motor works too so not sure what that means
Swap them back and see what happens. The spade connectors on the original PCM relay might have just needed a swipe to clean. You should clean the spade terminals on both, but keep track of which one was originally the PCM relay.
Emory cloth to clean the spade terminals works good, just don't over do it.
