I have had my truck leveled with a 2.5" HBS leveling kit for about 3000 miles now. I just noticed that there is a knocking in the front right suspension somewhere. I have narrowed it down to the swaybar end links. I noticed when I put my lift on, that they were a real PITA to get back lined up and didn't seem to want to tighten all the way down. Did anyone else have this problem? I don't think that my lift caused the bushings to go bad, but it could have helped them along some. The truck has 45k on it right now. Does this seem about right for the longevity of the bushings?
Since I am going to have to replace them, what are some of the best ones I can buy?
Nothing wrong with my sway bar bushings and I have 85k on the truck now and 3" level on for the last 30k. I would say they had an issue before the level but its just made it more noticeable.
Yeah I'm pretty sure they were either going bad before I leveled it, or were already bad. When you put you level kit on, did you have any issues with them lining up correctly. Mine were a pain to get to line up.
There really wasn't much of a problem with them, they were just kind of tight and didn't seem to line up in their holes like they were supposed to on the A arm. Oh well I guess ill be replacing bushings this weekend. Is there a quick disconnect kit for these trucks?
Yeah I have been looking around and all I can seem to find is the drop brackets, but they won't do my any good. I really need some adjustable links. Will it hurt my truck if I just take that sway bar off for a week or so untill I can get some new bushings? It will only have a little more body roll right?
