steering troubles
My steering lately has been whining louder than normal and places significant load on the engine when turning at low speeds. It even stalled the engine once so far. Are these traits of a common problem comming soon?

I would check three things. First the power steering fluid level. Make sure you are full. There is also a procedure for bleeding this listed in Haynes. Also check for any leeks in the unit or lines. Next take the belt off and try to spin the unit by hand you maybe able to notice play in the bearing in the pump. Lastly I would check the price on a new pump. Yours is probably going.
