So I have decided that I'm tired of spending money and not finding the problem so I'm converting my truck to a carb.

****ty parts is that as I was cutting the hoses off the intake at Brock's I sliced the index finger on my left hand through the tendon so I got three stitches for a week and have to wear a splint for a month
I've heard of it being done before. And that its not much work and works fine afterwards. I'm going to be curious if your milleage increases or decreases. Years ago a member of Man/Sask said carbs were going to be made illeegal for road use only EFI allowed.... That was years ago tho lol

Wouldn't new injectors be simpler? Installing a carburetor in place of fuel injection seems so antiquated. It also sound difficult which almost always means expensive. I've always found eBay to be my best friend in these situations.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but hey, it's what I do.
