It don't look like you have any of the metal plate backing on it what so ever.

So the only thing connecting to the gear is through that flexible disc? If that's the case, I don't think that will ever last.

That disc is there just to take up for some misalignment, not to tranfer all the torque through it

I thought I needed that piece mine is all bent up and I can't seem to find a new one any where. The guy told me it wouldn't hurt if I didn't have it but I would feel better and safer if I had it.

Do you think any body online sells it? And do you know the actual name?

that's the part that's in the drawing I posted earlier

They call it "Flange and Insulator" so sounds right to me.

This is based on all the information I have. No way for me to know for sure if it's absolutely correct but I would order it.

What motor do you have?

Not that it should matter but it's part of the part look-up

I'm not sure I think its a 302 but I bought a cap and rotor for a 80 F150 and it didn't fit. Here's a pic.

Rock Auto has one

RockAuto Auto Parts

go to "part number search" at the top of the page and put in 204

This will take you to list of parts with that part#. There is one there made by Lares called "Steering Coupling Assembly"

$18.00 There is a picture of it there...looks like just what you need. Give a spec on size too.

Rock Auto is very good. Shouldn't have a problem returning even if its the wrong one

looks like a windsor...either a 302 or 351.

That part I posted above is listed for all motors on the 80 F150. I tried the 300, 302 and 351.

Which makes sense...this would not be engine specific

If you're interested in knowing what motor, tranny, rear you have and can get a good picture of the label on the inside of the drivers door....I can let you know what you have for future use.

Assuming it's all stock
