Just wanted to send a Thank You! to PStruwing for posting up the photo-essay! I've got a 2006 Ford Explorer and about a week ago when I was getting in the truck I somehow managed to hook the turn signal stalk with my pant leg, violently pulling it down to the left turn signal position. Lucky me, doing that broke the highbeam/lowbeam switch leaving me with only highbeams! Took me until today (first rainy day) to work up the courage to tear into it. I got the plastics off from around the steering column, but looking at it I just wasn't sure how much deeper I was going to have to tear into it to get the stalk out of there. I saw the two torx screws, but thought "maybe I should look online first...just to be sure". And sure enough, your thread popped up at the top of the search results! So again, Thank You!! .......now if I can just find a thread about a dodge truck power window that only moves a few inches at a time before it needs a few minutes to rest before it will move another few inches!
