Dont know if you entered a code for coolant but it comes standard on the scanguage listed as fWT if you wanted to check your entered codes reading against the standard one. If that is the standard reading then looks like a thermostat may be in your future. I had mine on a long drive today (about 100 mile one way) and my temps hovered around 198-202 on the low end and would climb up to about 208-210 on the high end before coming back down. Now those readings were taken doing around 70mph on some slight hills but in town when driving is 30-40 mph the temps stay around 192-200. Hope this helps ya out.
so ive been using my new scan guage and my coolant temps are 178-180 after 40-45 minutes of highway driving. Oil temps are fine, so why a low reading.
Like Mark suggested, I'd check to make sure the SG is set-up properly (though the OBd-II should be giving straight numbers like that). Afterwards, if your coolant is still that cool, you more than likely looking at a thermostat replacement. When they fail, they're supposed to fail to the "open" position so that you don't burn the motor up.
