Does anyone know the best way to run wires through the firewall on a 2004 psd with a manual transmission? I am installing fuel press. boost and egt gauges tomorrow.
I don't know about a 04 but on a 99 right under the brake booster or on the inside between pedals about 2" above floor mat is a hole about 3/4 in size that has been getting wires oil press lines boost line I have 1 more wire to run and then I can put a piece of hose to protect it and silicone it up
There is a larger hole in the same area as mention also. That's where all my wires go through. Also you have 4 accessory wires from ford built into the wiring harness that you can add onto if needed also. They are short 1 foot pieces but they are already through the firewall and sealed up.

This info is for the 99-03 models....I presume the 2004 models are similar...
In the engine compartment, you will find them attached to a large bundle of wires behind the master brake cylinder (up towards the cowl). Most times they are taped to the outside of the wire bundle. Sometimes they are very hard to see because they are between the bundle and firewall....pull that bundle out a little bit, find the wires and pull them out into the open.
To find the other end of these wires, look under the dash, there will be a bundle of wires that is attached to the bulkhead separating the driver's knee area from the center dash area. A main wiring bundle runs towards your ODBII connector. Look around for these 4 wires (red, white, blue and black). Depending on your year, you might find one or two additional wires. Those would be for the PTO circuit. One of those wires will have 12v when key is on. You can use that wire for all sorts of cool stuff.
