That was a fix from awhile ago.
The recent issues still exist.

Angry tranny problems

The dealerhip has been excellent so far including sending out a mechanic on his day off to meet me on the Highway with his scan tools while my trailer ws hooked up. It looks like the torque converter is failing according to the computer he hooked up. In a few weeks when I have time to get the truck into the shop I will update this thread with the outcome.
hey barrie guy,
did you ever get it resolved? I have been fighting Barrie Ford for 2 years.
all the updates were done and still not fixed. the last visit at Christmas time was a week in the shop and they replaced all the clutch plates.
the fix lasted less than a week.

its going back tomorrow so they can start running all of their tests AGAIN, like they dont beleive its happening again.
a friend just purchased a 2008 van from a street corner used car dealership and on his way home the engine light came on. they read the codes and replaced his transmission for him.................not bad paid 14K for a 2008 and gets a new tranny just like that.
I have spent over 450K at Barrie ford since 1999 including 90K for my 2011 f350 and they just want to run tests.

let me know if anyone has had their tranny replaced and this COMMON issue repaired PERMANENTLY.
PLEASE,

kaddy

Welcome aboard, kaddy.

The six speed tranny has some issues for sure. But, according to FOMOCO, it's all normal. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. You know how the game is played, I'm sure. They won't admit there is a problem because that would implicate them and they would go broke trying to fix all the tranny issues. It's simply easier to turn your back on the customer and hope it lasts until warranty runs out. The odds are in their favor. (gosh, I'm sounding so negative lately, sorry)

well just dropped it off for their last crack at it before I start a newspaper campaign against the local dealership. I am not going to let the warranty run out before doing some public damage to them.

thanks for your input. I will try to keep this up to date.

overall I like the truck, it pulls like no other truck. I just purchased a 2013 384PK raptor and dont want any issues towing my new rig.

I just happened to stumble into this thread. I had a super early 2011 6.7 and my truck did exactly this with very little load. I would get bad shutter between gears (almost like a lugging sensation as if the transmission was in the wrong gear). Usually when going up a steep grade. They did the usual "updates" and I also got the "learning my driving habits" speech. My 6.2 has yet to do this. I wonder if it's coincidence that my 6.2 doesn't do it or that it just has much less TQ that its not an issue.

What is also odd... The first time my 6.7 did the shuttering, it was right before the check engine light came on (like a few seconds). Then I needed my NOx sensor replaced.

I hope you guys get it resolved.

As Darren pointed out, there is no huge disparity between the 2 currencies, so why is the Canadian MSRP so much more? Did Obama used to rule Canadaland prior to becoming fuhrer of the US?

has nothing to do with currency................we pay more for any products than the USA.
Harley Davidsons........20% more for the same bike here. 10 to 25% more for automobiles

I would be interested to see if anyone having the shifting issues tried H&S transmission tuning, if it would make any difference. I like it a lot better but I did not have the shifting issues as bad as some describe. I never did any of the solenoids or TSB's on mine and it is good to go....

Thumbs up tranny issues

just got my truck back from the dealer.
just as I expected, nothing wrong, no codes, no errors, cannot duplicate owners issues. owner will monitor. owner will monitor????????????? what have I been doing for 2 years, monitoring the tranny problems and complaining about it on DEAF ears.

I guess, drive the crap out of it and hope it blows up good.
buy the extended warranty at 159000 kms. and keep driving the crap out of it until 400000 kms. when the next warranty runs out.
