I have a 2003 e150 ,4.2L v6/
I am getting a code for miss in # 5 cylinder,When removing top of intake runner a piece of plastic looking like New Hampsire was in near 5th cylinder intake.
cant see were it broke off any where on mold .
Bought this VAn used thinking sluggishness was MAF,
Replaced MAF,Coils,wires,plugs ,
Going to replace # 5 injector but I think piece of plastic may have been culprit, wonder were it came from?
Is the process for taking apart fuel lines the same for a 2001 4.2l , disarming fuel pump on passenger side kick panel .etc.as for 2003 ?? have manual for 2001 thats why I ask.
did not need to change injector after all, 3" x 1.5" piece of plastic was ingested through throttle plates and must have lodged blocking # 5 port, always was sluggish below 40, cleaned all of the carbon from runners with sea foam, put back together and now I can idle around ...
do love the power of the 4.2
