I don't have a ford truck 1st of all but I do have a ford 4.2L V6 sitting in my garage, I found the engine in my high schools auto shop. Its missing the valve covers, oil pan and intake. it also has two bent rods and a cracked head. currently its just sitting there and I plan to get it started during summer when I should have the time. When its finished I'm going to drop it in my '95 3.8 mustang to give it more giddy-up and stuff.
I've been looking at cams mostly and I'm still looking for the best one I want the loudest sound possible. The exhaust is just going to be LT headers with straight pipes going back. I'm also thinking i'll get the wind star upper intake
Bent rods and cracked head....what else could be wrong? I wouldn't put a dime into it until the block is checked for cracks in the cylinders where the bent rods are. Magnaflux checked btw.
