That sure turned out to be a nice upgrade. The temps will most likely drop some more when you get the radiator OTW cooler in series.

Sounds like you are going the right direction. Glad you got it figured out.

Out of curiosity...is there any particular reason why you chose to mount the cooler with the fitting on top? My box had an illustration showing the fitting on top but there wasn't anything in the instructions that said it had to be that way so I wasn't sure.

I decided to mount mine with the fittings pointing down so the hoses would be protected by the front bumper and the brackets would line up with the existing support bars. I suppose either way works just as well as the other. I am glad I got mine installed just in time for towing season.

I'm running amsoil and they have a much higher temperature rating then the regular ATF and have a built Trans with better seals that can handel higher heat. My question is, is it still about 220-230 even with the better seals? Just for a piece of mind.

I opted to install the unit "fittings up" just for easy installation. I already had hoses routed from the old cooler. Also, after reading prior posts discussing good results with both installs; up and down.

That makes sense. I forgot that you has an existing cooler in that spot.

I mounted mine the same when I had a Tru-Cool, but when I went to BTS Brian insisted that He flip it over (fittings down) so it doesn't turn into a trash can and collect junk. So he flipped mine. I've since removed it for the 6.0 cooler.
Not trying to take the wind out of your sales, (You did a real nice install) just something to keep in mind.

No, no... I'm glad to hear some feedback. It's certainly something to think about.
Ya still have your old Tru-cool laying around?

I do still have it, but It's spoken for if my buddy ever gets away from his girlfriend long enough to install it.
