help for an 03 owner?
Hey guys I've been here a while but have an 03 7.3 so never been in this section but went to look at an 89 350 diesel today and have a few ?'s. Is it a 6.9 or 7.3? It has an ATS turbo, thats aftermarket right(all pre-94's were non turbo right)? Which tranny (auto) will it have? Anything to look closer at that I didnt think about? The body is almost perfect and its a Lariat with all power interior. Thanks for any help

1989 was the first year for the E4OD. They came out in mid year '89.
So if it's an early built '89 it will be the 3 speed C6.
Easy way to tell is look at the gear selector.
P R N D 2 1 - C6
P R N (D) 2 1 - E4OD (and will have an OD cancel switch right side of steering column, on dash).
Turbo is not original. The turbo models did come out in mid year 1993 through '94 as an option.
1983-87 - 6.9L
1988-94 - 7.3L.
