hey everybody, i need some help. has anyone had problems with rear axle seals failing alot? i have changed mine 3 times in 2 years. anybody got any answers? it's really pissn me off. thanx
Are you the one changing them or did you have a shop do the work for you?
I have not heard anything about them failing this much so I would look at a few things. One the piece you are getting may not be the right seal so its failing easier. Two it may be put in wrong, certainly hope its something else but would certainly be something I would look at. Three I would look at what else is around or close to the seal that might be assist it in its failure.
I did most of the work with a certified mech. Inspecting. The axle shafts on the last replacement looked a little worn. And eventhough the bearings are new I'm hearing a little clunking when it's cold out. So looks like i might have to rebuild the entire thing.
