Autometer fuel gauge

Is anyone using the autometer fuel gauge/sender in their truck with their stock tank? I just bought a 38 gallon tank to replace the stock one, and I'm thinking of getting the autometer to match mother gauges. I need a new sending unit, so I'm looking at all my options.

Here's a great article on sending units and gauges. I think what you are looking for is more towards the bottom of the page.

Fuel Tank Sending Unit Tech - FORDification.com

Ford did switch the resistance on their sending units, so be careful what gauge you get.

I used a stock gauge with an aftermarket sender before. It was close, but took some time to get it all adjusted properly.

I think this happened in 1987 (but am not 100% positive).
