The search function on these forums IS your friend! I'd be surprised if you get any answers to that question other than what I posted.

Ken as a new user, I suspect you are researching the purchase of a new truck and trying to see if this new engine is holding up. Ford sells over 20,000 of these a month and has been doing so for two years now. You can do the math and see how many thousands of these trucks are now on the road.

Internet Forums seem to bring out the worst complaints. If the truck is working fine, nobody comments. If it has a problem you see it hashed and beated to death. With that said, about the only comments we have seen deal with the Fuel Pump failing for a very few people, It is an expensive repair that is usually not covered under warranty. Go search on HPFP, but realize it is less than half of 1% of the total population. We have seen a couple members with this problem, But most talk is hearsay of I heard about or I saw one at the dealer. And I suspect most failures can be traced back to some problem with what was put into the fuel tank.

The other complaint that is often discussed deals with some rough shifts in the tranny. Again, if it is your truck, it's a big deal, But most of us are very happy with our trucks.

I've just turned 55,000 miles and my truck is working hard towing stuff every week. I personally think it is the best truck I've every owned.

Talk to your local tow truck operator. They loved the 6.0, of course they all drove a dodge at the time. Around here their starting to use the new fords again. I would say thats a good sign.

Towing companys are good sources of info in this class of truck. 1st, there quite popular as tow trucks(is IMHO doesn't get much harder on a truck), 2nd they would be towing everbody elses. Got a good buddy in the bussiness and word is there doing quite well so far and he has yet to tow one (which was different story with the 6.4 & 6.0)
