Kam reset after powermax install?

Hello, I installed a powermax turbo and would like to know does the kam reset do the vgt relearn? Also what all does the kam reset do? I do have ae. The turbo ids coughing when trying to accelerate, not all the time, just on fairly steep grades. The vail pass "help" thread is mine and explains it all.

Also, did anyone see an increase in egt's after the powermax install? I'm about 200° hotter across the board, normal???

I have seen a small rise in EGT's under normal driving but at WOT in is about 200* less.
Did you get your tunes updated, that will make a difference.
I did not do a relearn for the VGT and I don't think you need to.

If you have a stock exhaust, you could see higher egt's. You have a larger turbo pushing more hot exhaust out the same size pipe.

Makes sense. I didn't c 1300 at all, so that's good. About 1260 was max....which I'm not used to seeing, I would only let er sit that hot for a couple secs b4 backing down to around 1150. With my operation, I just can't justify the price for the 4 inch. I would probably go back with the stock turbo b4 that. I would hate to tho.
